She’s very serious about school.

Also last week, I was talking to Hannah about school, and she was telling me that one of her classmates was always being silly. I asked if she was ever silly at school, and she said, “No, because you always have to be in control of your body when you’re at school.” Apparently her teacher has told the class that many times.

Independent Reading

One day last week, after Hannah came home from school, we had a conversation that went like this:

Me: So what did you do at school today?
H: We did 23 minutes of independent reading.
Me: Did you enjoy that?
H: Well, it’s kind of boring.
Me: That’s a good, honest answer.
H: Well, it’s really, really boring!

Leaves

Hannah was helping us rake leaves into a pile last week, and she said, “I’m really manhandling these leaves!”.
